Woman With Guitar by Tim Lincoln
18"x14"
250.00 + 10.00 shipping
cubist oil painting
This is a linear cubist painting I did of a woman playing a
guitar .I used mostly oil but did use tiles for some of the effects. I wanted a
feeling of night so I used a lot of blues and very dark hues. There is no black in the painting.
I used a tetradic color scheme of blues and oranges ,reds
and greens. Please visit my website for similar paintings. The information is

Live Oak
16"x20"
$260.00
abstract and cubist oil on a linen canvas
This is a painting I did during the drought in Houston in 2011.It was an old Live Oak that sem to be doing well and thriving and is obviously a very drought tolerant species. While the drought seemed to decimate a lot of the Water Oaks and Pine trees, the Live Oak thrived.

Woman On A Couch by Tim Lincoln
18"x14 x 1.34"
gallery wrap canvas
255.00 + 10.00 shipping
This is an abstract and cubist collage, painting I did of a
woman sitting alone on a couch.
One side of her is bathed in light which represent a playful
and coy manner. The other side is one of being doubtful and apprehensive. I
used mostly oil with texture. There is also cloth and paper used. On the wall
is a copied Picasso of a woman. I utilized burlap, painted over it and then
took it off. It gave the wall a rough texture.

Woman With Macaw's
12"x16"
175.00 + 10.00 shipping
This
is an abstract linear oil painting of a woman holding two tropical Macaws. It’s
a small painting and similar to “Woman With Fruit And Fish”.
Macaws are vividly
colored parrots found in Mexico, Central America, South America, and formerly
the Caribbean.
These formidable birds have been popularly kept as pets for
decades with records of the"Green Winged Macaw”
having been kept as long ago as the turn of the 17th century or earlier .I
guess a classical example is the one armed pirate holding a Macaw.
Most Macaw species are found in
tropical rainforests
along waterways or in Palm swamp forests. They nest in tree cavities and feed
on the seeds found in the canopy of trees.

Breakfast,Lunch And Dinner by Tim Lincoln
16"x46"x1"
575.00+20.00 shipping
Semi-abstract and expressionistic painting of a table setting. It has a lot of texture and I utilized a pallet knife to do most of the painting and then I painted in areas so it's layered. This is a very long painting and needs a big wall to hang on.It would be great for a dining room or large kitchen. It's painted on all sides and I think a frame wouldn't work well with this piece.

Afghanistan Poppy Field by Tim Lincoln...SOLD
The
opium poppy , a beautiful and seemingly
benign work of art of nature, yet holds such a nefarious history back to the
Greeks and Romans. It was worshiped as Morpheous because of how the dreamy and
sleepy concoction was thought to be from the Gods. Of course that was Morphine.
Some of the most beautiful plants are very deadly too.In the South we grow “Angel
Trumpet” which has a huge yellow bloom that is spectacular .It’s a member of
the Datura species and was used in Victorian times when you wanted to off
someone .”Here honey, try this delicious tea.”
Wars
were even started over it yet when I see poppies in bloom, the paper thin
illuminative colors are a treasure and a heralding of Spring and what nature is
about to reveal.
BTW….I’m
not growing opium poppies. LOL
This
painting is heavily textured with molding paste, organic material such as peat moss,
dried weed, crackle paint, chopsticks and molding paste .I hope the new owner
enjoys it.

Woman With Fruit And Fish by Tim Lincoln
14"x18"
Cubist oil painting
225.00 + 10.00 shipping
This is a cubist oil, part collage, portraying a woman
carrying a basket of fruit and fish for dinner. One aspect of the painting was
to do a much linear composition to achieve a somewhat cohesive image. This
ideal came to me when I saw a photo of an Indonesian woman carrying the
bountiful array of food from the beach to her family. After studying the photo,
I drew up several drafts to see if I could successfully do a cubistic drawing
and incorporate the colors of the tropical scene. This is what I came up with.

South Beach by Tim Lincoln...SOLD
18"x36"
abstract and impressionistic oil of 4 Texas or Florida Sabal Palms
This is a painting where I painted 4 Texas and Florida Sabal
palms in 4”x9” square utilizing their complementary colors. It didn’t have the
texture of Phoenix Date Palms but the colors were dynamic and it was perfect
for the client who bought it. They just built a beach home near port Lavaca and
it was one of her first art works she will have. I also got the contract on
doing the landscaping which should be quite lucrative since I have to drive
everything there from Houston. The logistical element is challenging since I
have to use salt tolerant plants but I have everything lined up.

This is a cubist painting of me and my dog JoJo that I did last year. It's oil on a gallery wrap canvas and is ready to hang.I seem to use my chocolate lab in a lot of paintings.I guess I'm trying to immortalize her since she has been the best dog I ever had.

LADIES SINGING THE BLUES by Tim Lincoln
16"x20"
$225.00 + shipping 10.00
Abstract and cubist oil painting of women singing…but that’s
debatable.
You were probably thinking Diana Ross? Not even close .Both
women had a little talent but after much serious introspection, neither
realized they would ever see the lights of Broadway. Myrna’s baritone was a bit
jarring and Gloria’s high notes created such an abrasive mix, many tenets
started complaining that their abode sounded like a breeding salon for stray
cats. ”Singing the blues” was not just a title of a song but was a tragic reality.
To make a bit of cash they would book at seedy lounges
where “Live Music” would give these dives a bit of class. They finally found a
bungalow outside Queens that was far enough away as not to disturbe the urban
population. The one blessing is that Myrna’s aunt died and having no relatives
left , or who would speak to her ,she inherited enough money that they both
could live without working indefinitely .Aunt Myrna was their only family who
without fail, would invite themselves out for her Birthday. Aunt Myrna, not the
impious type, would graciously sit while they played and sang a duo. Thank God
she still had some Morphine left. Now they sip on Martinis all day and sing. Both
are constantly going into this diatribe about “Practice Makes Perfect”, but
after 50 years it’s time to reconsider some fictitious dream and start spending
some of that cash

Leslie And Her Cat by Tim Lincoln
Leslie collects cats. Every time, I’m over there working,
one will jump out behind a pot.
It almost reminds me of that Hitchcock movie “The Birds”;
although they are not attacking me .I asked if I could do a painting of her
holding Boots. It's more of a feline paradise.

She is an extremely kind and generous woman and basically
lets me use my own discretion in her garden. She has tons of cat wall planters, sconces
and there are also ceramic cats everywhere. This is basically an abstract and
cubist style painting. If I don’t sell it by Christmas, I will give it to her
as a gift.

Houston CityScape by Tim Lincoln
14"x11"
$175.00 +10.00 shipping
This is a free form compulation of Houston's skyline as seen from Allen Parkway. It's a smaller painting than I usually do but it has some interesting textures by building up the paint.Although, not an exact photographic image,it does include some buildings from Philip Johnson.I was trying to get the feeling of heat since I shot this pic in August.I love Houston but half the year it's like living in Cairo with humidity.I still have some touch up's to do but it's finished.I'm glad I didn't use a larger canvas.

Hilga,Eine gestörte Frau by Tim Lincoln
16"x20"x1"
350.00+ 15.00 shipping
Hilga, a disturbed woman. Hilga was never an attractive girl
or woman. She was teased incessantly at school and all the guys use to call her
a dyke. She had very manly features and so none of the pretty girls gave her
any attention. However, she was smart and made good grades but was constantly
depressed. She graduated but her first job was at a nursing home in Prague. This
is when her true psychopathic tendencies started emerging.
She mistreated the elderly and sick and would always dose
her patients with barbiturates crushed up in salt shakers. When meals arrived, she
would switch them out with her brew. The staff and her supervisor became
suspicious because all her patients were like zombies. They installed a camera,
saw what she was doing and immediately discharged her. Her next job proved even
more toxic. She was hired as a sitter for a German couple with two blond hair, blue-eyed
6 years old. They would have been perfect candidates for the Hitler youth. After
all the teasing, she was asked to take them to school. She instead got them in
the Mercedes, got on the Autobahn and cranked it up to 150mph.It so traumatized
the kids, they had problems for months. She was fired.
No one has seen her for months and that’s never good.
Shes's actually living in some dive in Japan, soaking up all the cheap saki, nothing like a morning cup of coffee thats spiked with an intoxicant.

Lost Dog by Tim Lincoln
14" x 18"
250.00 + shipping 15.00
I always think it's so sad to see dogs just roaming the streets with no tags or homes.I saw this dog the other day trying to cross a busy street, stopped my truck and at least he ran away from the boulevard. He had such a sad look and I wanted to paint him and capture how he must have felt. This is an abstract and cubist painting.I can still see his eyes pleading for me to take him home.I hope he had a home and was able to find it.I'm afraid i would have picked him up and with my other dog their would be some major issues.

Sonia, once a tragedy in an East Berlin Bar has found the man to take her away from all the misery. An Arabic oilman couldn't resist her and said he would give her anything she wanted. Now,bathing in a luxurious penthouse in Houston and having anything she desires, is beyond her comprehension.Unfortunately, she missed the statement made that he would slice her throat from ear to ear if she did not heed to his beckon call seem to have escaped her.Now as she is raptured by such wealth and promises, that little idiom begins to have sunk in.Did he really say that? Like her mom used to say"Mein Kind, nichts ist frei. Männer sind Küchenschaben ähnlich."
