This painting is part of my new series "Luminous Dimensions"
Considering this image, which evolved over a couple days in the studio, I wrote: "Sometimes it seems there are multiple dimensions to every moment. As I focus on one aspect, I know there is so much more available... if I could just tune in."
I also believe that if a painting communicates something to someone, the feelings, the stories and the messages received, will be as diverse as is my audience.
Framed in a gold floater frame.

The gentle trail around this little lake is a popular morning walk for locals. In reality, the lake is not as big as it looks in the painting. It’s called ‘artistic license’. 16"x22" Oil on Panel/ Available Click HERE for purchase info. Visit https://jodyahrensartist.com to view more of my work. The Entity is standing to the right of the crackled nebula, which is a barrier to the quiet, subdued spiral, the journey to the center of ourselves. Any of us who have tried to meditate know how we must still our crackling mind to get to the silence.

I love astrophysics and science fiction too. I read an article on the existence of dark matter and then my imagination took over as to what might it look like if you could see it. Since most of the matter in the Universe is Invisible this is what I think it looks like. I built up layers and layers and then began to uncover some. Texture rules on this painting. The Venetian plaster mixed with pigments is burnished to a beautiful sheen.

It is easy to forget in the midst of drama that we can actually find peace. A while ago I was grateful to have been able to spend time at a friend's place, enjoying the sun, breeze and "4-legged family members"!
Seems that I find myself going more often to the open country to just be still to find the calm we often need.
I wanted to create a painting that expressed the feeling of being away from the constant turmoil we have all been dealing with and to just relax with the beautiful blue sky and the quiet surroundings.
My hope is that you too will be able to take a deep breath and relax as you view this painting...
Remember, "All Is Good"!

Desert colors with turquoise accents accents on texture with iridescent copper make this an impressive piece. I was thinking of copper in Arizona when I painted it. 30"x40" Original on Canvas AvailableHERE Visit http://PatStacy.com to view more of my work.

Part of Peaceful Worlds Series –While traveling I would stand on a balcony, gazing over the sea and hear a song in the movement of the water. Music of the Sea is inspired by the natural surrounding world.

As we wander through these ancient canyons, we can’t help to wonder what dramas played out right here on this spot eons ago. Was cave-lady Susie jealous because her man flirted with another woman? Was the bead work on her leather dress last year’s style? Did her child disobey and run over by the rattlesnake den? Did they simply have a different version of the same conflicts and irritations we create today? 24"x24" Oil on Panel/ Available Click HERE for purchase info.
