Bob Marley said, "Some people feel the rain others just get wet". This painting in cool blues, greens, and pale yellows, has thickly applied paint with a vertical emphasis to imply the downward direction of rain falling. It is framed in a natural wood floater frame. Overall dimensions are 19"x25".

This piece is one in a series that could be hung as a triptych if purchased together.

As I focus on one aspect, I know there is so much more available... if I could just tune in." Geologic Abstract Painting, “SECRET CAVERN" by Colorado Mixed Media Abstract Artist Carol Nelson

I was going for a loose abstract look when I started painting this one. But as I kept working on it, it became increasingly a geologic abstract. I can't help it. I love painting rocks and rock textures. I can imagine coming across a cavern like this while hiking in the mountains, near where I live. I think I would be too afraid of disturbing the residents if I were to peek in there.
