Original Acrylic Artwork by Oklahoma Equine Artist Jonelle T. McCoy

"Seduction"

Spring is just around the corner; I think of pastels, bright floral colors, , new growth, new beginnings. My stallions call to the mares, and even the mares cuddle and show affection when in heat. Part of the dance for mating is the wooing, and this painting shows just that. I viewed being approached by a suitor similarly, with attraction yet caution. I also used color symbolically, pink for the ladies, blues and yellows for the guys, orange is for optimism. Painted in acrylics on a 24"x24"x1.5" gallery wrap canvas. I've called it "Seduction", it will be entered in a competition so not currently available.

"Iris Upon a Star" by Oklahoma Equine Artist Jonelle T. McCoy

"Iris Upon a Star"

This one was created with someone special in mind that I'm
close to who loves irises, paso's, purple and green. This lovely paso fino mare is thrilled to be in the midst of these gorgeous multi-colored purple and yellow irises. This is another that brings to mind a snippet of my past. As a young mid teen I wished upon a star hoping for love to find me, and that time, my wish came true. Can you see the star in this painting? What wishes do you have that could come true if you really believe? Titled "Iris Upon a Star", this acrylic has been painted on an 18"x24"x1.5" gallery wrap canvas. Sold.

"Harbinger" acrylic by Oklahoma Equine Artist Jonelle T. McCoy

"Harbinger"

A stallion stands on a plateau with his companion mare looking out over a large late in the day vista view, a strong breeze blows a change in the wind, for what he does not know, but could it be something better? Called "Harbinger", I feel like he does, I'm in my late afternoon years, and I feel a change coming, and like him, I hope it's good. This painting hangs in my home where it fits perfectly, so at this time only prints are available here: http://jonelle-t-mccoy.artistwebsites.com/featured/harbinger-jonelle-t-mccoy.html
