Original Acrylic Artwork by Oklahoma Equine Artist Jonelle T. McCoy

"Work Together"

"Work Together" mixed heavy body and high flow acrylic on 8"x16" standard canvas. This is MY message for the coming New Year 2014, we as a people, a nation, a world in order to be strong, must embrace our differences and draw from the kaleidoscope of cultural color and unite, for divided we fall, united we stand. I hope to see 2014 become a year of growth, love and tolerance, rather than death by indifference and hate. I wish the best to all, may you have a fulfilling year ahead. This painting is a mix of from left to right- a gray spotted snowflake appaloosa, a bay pinto paint, a palomino paso fino, and a spotted TWH saddle horse. They are in harmony. And it's a beautiful thing! Happy New Year to one and all!

The Inside Track by Kay Wyne

The Inside Track
Oil on Canvas
24" x 30"
I finished this painting. Normally I paint odd numbers of objects or subject matter in my paintings, but four horses seemed to work for me on this canvas. I did have some horses in the background at one time, but decided to blurr the background completely. Initially I had the starting stalls in the background with roof and sky painted in, but I changed my plans. The horse with the green blinker on the inside track is in the lead. This painting conveys the energy, excitement, and competitiveness of the horse race. This painting will be for sale once it dries and placed up at The Dutch Art Gallery in Dallas, Texas. Thanks for viewing this blog. Please contact me if you are interested in this painting that is fresh off the easel!

On the High Road by Kay Wyne

On the High Road
Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas
On our last trip to Santa Fe, John and I took a day trip: The High Road to Taos Scenic Byway. It is a lovely, winding road through the Sangre de Cristo Mountains between Santa Fe and Taos. The landscape was fabulous.....magnificent vistas of snow-capped peaks, alpine meadows, and charming traditional Spanish and Pueblo villages. This drive through the mountains has inspired many artists and artisans who live along the High Road. As we were driving through the village of Truchas, John pulled off the road and I photographed some horses fenced in a yard with the mountains in the background. There were three horses standing there, ready for a photo session. I put the finishing touches on this painting yesterday, and signed it.

"Morning Run" by Pennsylvania Daily Painter Pat Koscienski

"Morning Run"
24" x 36"
Mixed Media

This original painting 24" x 36" is done using acrylic, inks, and gel medium. I wanted to combine a representational depiction with an abstracted style. The manes have drizzled string gel and the white water has thickly applied gel medium....giving an accentuated texture to these areas. To purchase, contact Pat at patsfineart@hotmail.com To view more of my paintings, both abstract and representational, visit my website at www.patkoscienski.com
