This painting has a new home!  This is one of my Wildflower Landscapes that I painted in 2014.  I worked on a series of them, and have explored many possibilities with this subject matter.  I am starting next year out with a paint challenge, and hoping to have a creative and productive 2015.  I think I will paint whatever I feel like painting...with Roosters and Cows at the top of my list.  I hope you all have a safe and fun New Years Eve!  Kay

"Marcher dans le Jardin", oil painting by Lynne Cunningham

"Marcher dans le Jardin", 16" x 20"
oil on canvas
completed March 27, 2013

update 6/17/13:  this painting is on reserve;
use contact email below for availability

This painting was just signed and completed!  I have a lot of paintings with the idea of 'path' or 'walk', so today, I'm titling my painting  in French.  I don't speak it, but it's a nice variation for the title. A visitor to a gallery where I show my work told the gallery owner that I have an 'abstract impressionist' style.  That was an interesting and well-phrased comment - I agree with that description!

The photo (above) was taken in early morning sunlight to show the texture; the alternate image below shows the painting without the texture highlighted.

To read more about my painting process please visit my blog; I have T H I S post about this painting   or

Promises of Spring by Filomena Booth

Promises of Spring
30"x40"x1.5"
Acrylic on Canvas
This is a bit of a different style for me. Most of my abstracts are based on geometric compositions but it was time for something different for a change. I had fun experimenting with some new tools I've been using lately...my fingers. I kind of like the directness of working with my hands instead of the more traditional tools I usually use...trowels, sponges and occasionally brushes.
This painting will be available for sale on ArtQuiver very soon.
