~ notecards available ~

The most recent painting "Widepond, version two",  the top photo is on full-sheet sized watercolor paper; the painting is 22" x 30" and matted and framed it will be about 30" x 40".

I've been looking at watery abstracts lately - my paintings, other artist's paintings and photography.  I absolutely love the subject of water and ponds, from an abstract perspective!

The first version of "Widepond" has been a good one for me; it sold to a collector and she's been in contact with me again recently.  The image was also the cover for a local magazine! see the link:   "In the News"
What's been interesting to me in the studio this week, while painting version two is the similarities in feeling of the two paintings - - although it's been years in between.  The first one is half-sheet; the second version is a full-sheet size and the larger the painting, the goal is to keep the painting "fresh" even in a larger size.

The painting is on reserve until May, 2014.  If you have questions on this painting  ,

"Lilypads in Pink", an abstract pond painting by Lynne Cunningham

"Lilypads in Pink", an abstracted pond painting
28" x 42"
mixed media; acrylic, oil paints and charcoal

$2,200
shipping cost included, U.S.A.

contact me h e r e   for questions  and to purchase

This large mixed media painting started in acrylic, on the big easel in my studio and it's finally finished! The layering of acrylic and oil paints adds depth of color when seeing it in person, and subtlety that you don't see in the photo.  This is the latest of mine from a long series of pond paintings.  For another view of one of the paintings from this pond series, please see this  link

I wanted the idea of a pond, and lilypads and these are pink - so the painting has a  fantasy element.  One friend called this "Monet-like", the ultimate compliment !  The touches of cobalt blue and spring green, yellow ochre in small areas will look amazing on a big white wall.

Purchase begins with an email, and a Paypal receipt is then emailed back to you for purchase with a credit card.  Shipping is included.  The painting is signed, the sides of canvas are finished and it's ready to hang.
