This is a cubist painting I did from a photo I took from a client preparing Christmas dinner. She looked overwhelmed and I wanted to capture that look .Ironically, cubism hit its popular venue during the industrial age where machines were starting to replace outdated methods of production. This was at the turn of the 20th century and famous artist like Cezanne, Picasso .Leger, and Braque started the movement .I would be fascinated to see their reactions to what has transpired since then. I wonder how they would paint a Blackberry or even a cell phone or turn on a blender? Art changes with the environment and yet they are cohesive.
It’s on a gallery wrap canvas using two colors. Deep Yellow and red umber with grey and black.

Hilga,Eine gestörte Frau by Tim Lincoln

16"x20"x1"

350.00+ 15.00 shipping

Hilga, a disturbed woman. Hilga was never an attractive girl or woman. She was teased incessantly at school and all the guys use to call her a dyke. She had very manly features and so none of the pretty girls gave her any attention. However, she was smart and made good grades but was constantly depressed. She graduated but her first job was at a nursing home in Prague. This is when her true psychopathic tendencies started emerging.

She mistreated the elderly and sick and would always dose her patients with barbiturates crushed up in salt shakers. When meals arrived, she would switch them out with her brew. The staff and her supervisor became suspicious because all her patients were like zombies. They installed a camera, saw what she was doing and immediately discharged her. Her next job proved even more toxic. She was hired as a sitter for a German couple with two blond hair, blue-eyed 6 years old. They would have been perfect candidates for the Hitler youth. After all the teasing, she was asked to take them to school. She instead got them in the Mercedes, got on the Autobahn and cranked it up to 150mph.It so traumatized the kids, they had problems for months. She was fired.

No one has seen her for months and that’s never good.

Shes's actually living in some dive in Japan, soaking up all the cheap saki, nothing like a morning cup of coffee thats spiked with an intoxicant.

DIE FRAU UND DER HUND

12"x24"x1.34"

The woman and dog. This painting for some reason reminded me of post war Germany. It's an oil abstract, cubist painting of a woman on a couch reading with her faithful chocolate lab guarding her. It's on a gallery wrap canvas and needs no frame.I loved doing this painting.Cubism seems to take a life of it's own and I just go with it.There are a lot of details that can't be captured with a camera but it's a very interesting painting. It's available in a couple of days.

Purchasing can be done here on my website
