This is the last of a series of linear cubism that I have done. It’s oil and mixed media on canvas. The story is about a Madam in Frankfurt who is at the end of her long career. I wanted the image to be one that portrays a life long journey to the realities of what her business decisions had made on her. I kept thinking of a woman in her 60’s with garish makeup and the brutalities she had faced in the underworld of prostitution. The hand was an important piece of the painting. It’s a colored x-ray and to me was a pivotal part of the painting. However, one can interpret their own subjective thoughts about it. Figurative abstract and cubism can have many perceptions and each one must decide how the piece effect them.

This is a painting I did during the drought in Houston in 2011.It was an old Live Oak that sem to be doing well and thriving and is obviously a very drought tolerant species.While the drought seemed to decimate a lot of the Water Oaks and Pine trees,the Live Oak thrived.

This is an abstract and cubist collage, painting I did of a woman sitting alone on a couch.

One side of her is bathed in light which represent a playful and coy manner. The other side is one of being doubtful and apprehensive. I used mostly oil with texture. There is also cloth and paper used. On the wall is a copied Picasso of a woman. I utilized burlap, painted over it and then took it off. It gave the wall a rough texture.

Woman With Macaw's

This is an abstract linear oil painting of a woman holding two tropical Macaws. It’s a small painting and similar to “Woman With Fruit And Fish”.

 Macaws are vividly colored parrots found in Mexico, Central America, South America, and formerly the Caribbean.

These formidable birds have been popularly kept as pets for decades with records of the"Green Winged Macaw” having been kept as long ago as the turn of the 17th century or earlier .I guess a classical example is the one armed pirate holding a Macaw.

Most Macaw species are found in tropical rainforests along waterways or in Palm swamp forests. They nest in tree cavities and feed on the seeds found in the canopy of trees.

Woman With Fruit And Fish by Tim Lincoln

This is a cubist oil, part collage, portraying a woman carrying a basket of fruit and fish for dinner. One aspect of the painting was to do a much linear composition to achieve a somewhat cohesive image. This ideal came to me when I saw a photo of an Indonesian woman carrying the bountiful array of food from the beach to her family. After studying the photo, I drew up several drafts to see if I could successfully do a cubistic drawing and incorporate the colors of the tropical scene. This is what I came up with.

The woman and dog.This painting for some reason reminded me of post war Germany.It's an oil abstract,cubist painting of a woman on a couch reading with her faithful chocolate lab guarding her.It's on a gallery wrap canvas and needs no frame.I loved doing this painting.Cubism seems to take a life of it's own and I just go with it.There are a lot of details that can't be captured with a camera but it's a very interesting painting.It's available in a couple of days.

Every once and awhile I paint a woman. Not any kind of woman, the Woman. It is my most inner creation I ever make. It comes and goes and I let her out when she comes. Until today I didn't have any exhibition with my women. I think that the larger audience is not yet ready for them, at least not here in Croatia.
Strangely, or maybe it is not so strange (if you know me at all, you will understand), my Woman always look like Africa.
