I noticed the other night that we had a full moon.  It was just before our snowstorm struck, yet again delaying Spring.  Weather is rarely dull here in Colorado; wait 20 minutes, it'll change.  Then I started thinking about the "blue moon" -- two full moons in one month.  I have no idea if this is the month for such an occurrence but I am enraptured with painting moonscapes.  They are just so much fun!  Here's one for you....

As the sun rises on Pikes Peak in Colorado and the full moon sets, the landscapes become luminous. During the full moon, I often go out at strange hours to photograph the light of the moon. This quiet time of the night is enrapturing.
