"Shoreline Sunset", by Karla Nolan, palette knife, oil painting, linen panel

It's snowing here in Colorado.  Again.  Just when we had a strong whiff of spring, here comes the white stuff falling from the sky.  Go figure.  I am so over winter and yet it's been a relatively mild one here so I know that I have no business complaining.

It seems to be more fruitful to remember the hot summer nights with the beautiful sunsets along the shoreline....yes, past tense for now, but hopefully more shoreline sunsets await me.

"Shoreline Sunset", palette knife/brush oil painting on 8"x10" linen panel, $100 includes s/h in U.S., contact me at KarlaNolan@gmail.com and I'll mail you a Paypal invoice -- s/h in other locations to be determined at time of sale, of course.

I have set up a second website, Paintings On Glass, to showcase my paintings on glass.  There is a piece in progress as I type with sailboats.  That's a true challenge, showing proper structure and making the water look good.  Be sure to check it out, along with my new blogspot, listed below.

Ink Sunset

INK SUNSET

By PAT STACY

INK SUNSET

11" x 14" Acrylic on Paper Framed to 16" x 20"

The beautiful sunset colors lend themselves to dark

silhohuettes of desert rocks, plants, and even a little

river and canyon. Contrary to it's name, it is not ink

that creates the beautiful dark, but a combination of

3 acrylic paint colors painted with a needle nose bottle

rather than a brush. It is matted in gold and black with

a substantial gold frame. Really lovely. It may be seen

in the Arizona Fine Arts Expo. For more information,

"Charismatic Sunset", by Karla Nolan, palette knife, brush, oil painting, miniature, linen panel

I believe that some sunsets have charisma -- multiple layers of color, movement, and so on.  This piece of artwork took on a life of it's own, is a bit textured, lots of hues, and of course over my beloved Rocky Mountains.  What a hoot!

"Charismatic Sunset", palette knife/brush oil painting on 4x6" linen panel, $40 includes s/h in U.S., contact me at KarlaNolan@gmail.com and I'll mail you a Paypal invoice -- s/h in other locations to be determined at time of sale, of course.
