This floral was painted as a practice warm-up before the actual painting begins. I learned this technique in a Robert Burridge workshop and he completes multiple paint sketches of the same subject usually 3 to 6. It's teaching yourself about composition and color and "how to paint".

Lylas is internet slag for "Love you like a sister". I enjoy painting these figures (angels, spirit women) and I have been influenced by the Robert Burridge workshops I've taken.
