"Ancestors" by Kate Dardine

This piece is part of a series exploring the mythology of the horse. Painted intuitively, that is, without a pre-conceived idea of what was to be painted, "Ancestors" emerged from the canvas and took on a life of its own. 20x24, gallery wrapped with painted edges. Click here for more information.

Calypso Celebration Series #8 of 10 ~ by Nancy Standlee

The Calypso series #8
7.5" x 5.5" image
Acrylic on 140 lb. watercolor paper

This may be one of my favorites from the series, a mysterious looking lady with an elaborate headdress or surrounded by flowers. This is acrylic painted on 140 lb. watercolor paper with an acrylic medium as a varnish. It could be matted and framed under glass or framed without glass.
