This is the Florida Sabal or Texas Sabal since they are indestiguishable.I called this South Beach because of all the brightly colored houses and bungalos.South Beach use to be a pretty destination but is now more like a Florida Hollywood.This is an oil painting which I used sandpaper for the trunks to give them a little texture.It would fit nicely on a large wall.

This is a semi-abstract oil painting of "Phoenix Canariensis" Date Palms.

Each palm is painted on a 9" square with it's complentary color as a background.I used a lot of texture in the oil paint and the crown of each palm tree is painted sphagnum peat moss glued on. Although this painting is sold I can easily paint another if commisioned.
