An experiment with investigating many styles and ideas using Oil and Cold Wax as a medium . This 14 x 11 abstract utilized paper collage with a roller to add the oil and cold wax and materials to get texture and some scrapping . Using a reduced palette created this piece of art on a special black board.

Abstract "Ocean Series # 3" by California Janet Bludau

12" x 12" Oil on Archival Raymar Panel

I have 2 different color palettes I am working on with this series.  

On September 3rd I posted a series of 3 paintings hung vertically.  This is the 

more muted, or lighter palette.  The one you see posted today is from the brighter

palette.  The paintings are able to hang together in multiples or stand alone.

I use a raw wood, contemporary, simple floater frame but they can easily be reframed or

Some pieces have a mixture of thin brush work with thicker palette knife work.  I love

the combination that makes for interesting texture in a painting.
