Contemporary Palette Knife Painting
Acrylic on 36" x 24" 1 1/2" gallery wrap canvas
This painting began with the repetition of the white shapes on a black canvas being blocked in first with thick white paint. The next step was the building and balancing of color surrounding these areas.... and then the darks came in. I decided to go ahead and go with it, allowing the contrast and a feeling of night time in the city.
