Hi from the Western slope of Colorado. The mountains on the way up north from Chama, NM to Pagosa Springs Colorado are gorgeous and very unpopulated. If you haven't taken that drive I really recommend it. This mixed media (graphite, colored pencil, acrylic) on canvas is 30x40 and a little brighter than it appears on screen. This painting was painted early one morning from a still life set up as a severe storm was approaching. I was working with the flowers as the lights flickered.... and then.... the lights went out. I continued to paint by candlelight. I like they way the focus stayed on the two flowers, thus the title "Together".
Continuum is an acrylic modern abstract painting on a 30" x 40" 1/2" gallery wrap canvas. The painting has many subtle variations in green creating a richness in tones. It was a difficult one to photograph and edit in order to capture this. It is as close as I could get it, but still do not feel it does it justice.
