"Wild Heart", Original Mixed Media Painting by Colorado Artist, Donna L. Martin

 Wild Heart

This was a painting that I thought I had finished. It had been sitting up against the wall for months. When I walked past it not too long ago, I realized it was nowhere near finished. It lacked light and life. I picked it up and began to add to it. I added colors and shapes and tiny details. It came to life in full bloom. Created with abandon and a wild heart!

12 X 12

Mixed Media

This painting is sold, but commissions are welcome.  Please feel free to contact me...I would love to hear from you!

Bunches of Love by Kay Wyne

Bunches of Love

$245

8" x 8" Oil on RayMar Cotton Panel

Contemporary Palette Knife Painting

I was painting a large floral, and had mixed up some wonderful colors, and I didn't want to throw them out, so I picked up a small panel and painted Bunches of Love.  The texture on the flowers is evident with the thick paint.  I will frame this little still life painting up!  Contact Kay for purchasing info.  Thanks, KMW

"Happy in Bloom", Original Mixed Media Painting by Colorado Artist, Donna L. Martin

Happy in Bloom

This is one of my latest pieces.  It was done on a recycled wood pallet with inks, acrylics, and painted papers.  This was so much fun to do!  I love the way the wood grain shows through portions of the paint and ink.

This one is sold, but commissions are welcome.  Feel free to email me with questions or comments!

Oh Happy Day! by Kay Wyne

Oh Happy Day!

18" x 36" Oil on Heavy Duty Gallery Wrap Canvas

Contemporary Floral Still Life Painting

I loved painting this palette knife painting.  It was a day when everything fell into place and I the painting process was so much fun.  I was wanting to explore the greens, muddy greys and violets.  Spending a lot of time mixing my oils, I limited myself to various shades of those colors only.  The horizontal format was fun to work on...a change from my favorite square format.  This painting was part of an exhibit at Dutch Art Gallery in Dallas, Texas and is still on display there.  Thanks for looking at my art....Kay

"Transformation", Original Mixed Media Painting by Colorado Artist, Donna L. Martin

"Transformation"

Lately, there have been alot of changes and "transformations" in my life.  This latest painting symbolizes the changes and the beauty that can eventually come from the "mess" of life.

I think all of us become lost at times or stuck.  The trick is to keep on plowing through the mess and realize there is beauty at the end of the storm.

This painting is fresh off the easel.  Feel free to send me a message with comments or questions, or if you are interested in purchasing.

Beyond by Kay Wyne

Beyond

12" x 12" Oil on RayMar Cotton Panel

Contemporary Floral Landscape

Day #12 in the 30/30 Paint Challenge

This landscape is very abstract.  Patches of color and shapes.  The path wanders through out the painting, into the hills.  I mixed and mixed the oil colors...I had loads of paint out on the palette for this small panel.  This is day 12 in the 30/30 Paint Challenge...I am working on a commission along with this landscape series.  More painting in the studio today.  Thanks, Kay

Abstracted Red Flowers, Contemporary Floral Paintings by Arizona Artist Amy Whitehouse

16" x 20," Oil on Stretched Canvas, $600

With a classic upside-down L composition, textured background,

Palette Knife Daily Floral Painting by Judy Mackey

"Don't Forget, I love You"

6 x 6 inches,

Oil on Board

Thank you for welcoming me to the Daily Abstract Painters. I look forward to posting and contributing here.

I live in Southlake, Texas - in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and my passion is painting. I prefer painting in oils, mostly with the palette knife and occassionally with the brush. My subject matter is a little ecclectic as I've done landscape, seascape, florals and figuratives. I love them all.
