I suppose all the unseasonably rainy more temperate summer days this year brought him to the wooded area of my southern garden!

My little friend always come with a companion to perch on a shepherd's hook close to the wooded area of my yard! Sweet Tweet 3. my small wildlife watercolor describes his sudden appearance for my pleasure. I have taken to looking out the back with my binoculars as an aid to my doing justice to my painting of this beautiful bird!

Hello, I am new to the CFAI. I am very excited to be a part of this talented group of artists. I am currently on Day 6 of a 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge. For me this challenge is a personal one. I will be experimenting with new subject matter and trying new techniques. From painting on a variety of materials, to using charcoal, mixed media, and printmaking.

It's the start of a new week! This is the final submission for the 99 Bottles of Art on the Wall charity auction to support Wholesome Wave Georgia, a local non-profit organization. On this rainy day, it was nice to picture a blue bird in Spring, perched up high on a Georgia pine. I also painted this using brushes and the pallet knife to create layers of color and texture.
