8" x 8" Oil on RayMar Cotton Panel

by Texas Artist Kay Wyne

This palette knife painting is #5 in this series.....pale robin's egg blue and raw umber are the primary colors in this painting, along with a creamy off-white. There is texture on the canvas as the paint was built up after layer and layer being applied. The soft blue is a good background for the umber tones in the butterfly. This creature evolved after several different drawings on the canvas board. Thanks for viewing....Look for Painting #6 tomorrow.

12" x 12" Oil Painting on Gessoed Masonite

I really layered the paint on this one...lots of texture. Lots of color. It will take months to dry, but I did sign it, and can't wait to see if framed up in a gold frame. Please contact me if you are interested in purchasing this painting, or any of my art. Thanks so much for viewing this blog!
