PACHA MAMA (Mother Earth)
16" x 20" Mixed Media on Canvas Framed
A companion work to "Journey". This work also has the
spirals that journey to the center. The symbol for
Pacha Mama is the spiral. The Incas believe that
,if lifted from the center, the spiral is the pathway to
heaven. I did this piece after a visit to Peru, and I see the
memories of the wonderful walls of Machu Pichu, mounds that
remind me of the hills, and the earth colors that remind me
of Mother Earth, the center of the Incan religion.
