There really are lots of layers. This piece has three layers. The back layer is painted on paper. The middle layer is painted on the back side of cast acrylic sheet and the third layer is the front of the acrylic. The entire thing is finished in a high gloss resin. You will keep finding new things in this piece forever. That's what folks tell me that they love about my work.

BOGO, Contemporary Abstract Mixed Media Painting “Three Widows” by Santa Fe Contemporary Artist Sandra Duran Wilson

I love the colors in this acrylic on panel painting and the deep texture too. There are windows made from transparent material that is painted on both sides for even more depth. The collage elements are fused with the hi-gloss resin that covers the piece and enhances both the color and texture.
