This wonderful texture comes from creating a super absorbent surface and layering many different colors of paint. The top area has collage papers and painted tree branches. It has a soft finish and is ready to hang in a black floater frame.

Texture Trifecta

I can't stay away. I will be returning to the wonderful Ampersand Gallery in Buda (next to Austin) for a 3 day workshop. We will be hitting the trifecta by combining implied and applied textures, building deep surfaces and carving back into them and adding elements we make. If you like texture, this is the class for you. We will have 3 days to build our surfaces on the Ampersand panels using acrylic pastes, gels, plaster, clay products, faux concrete and even glass. I will show you how to create some unique "metallic" papers to incorporate into your layers. Come join the fun and Ampersand has some GREAT deals for us following the workshop.
