This is a mixed-media experimental abstract painting (colored pencil, graphite, acrylic, collage papers, stamping etc.) on gessoed illustration board.I love these type of abstract paintings (that one builds up in layers) because as an artist they let you create something that's pleasing purely from a color or textural or symbolic viewpoint. And hopefully, in that rather selfish process, the viewer will also enjoy the creative discovery.
