I had this photograph stashed away for quite some time, but it was always in the back of my mind as good subject matter for a painting. It was taken at Cider Days here in Springfield last fall. so... this last weekend I got it out and....painted it! I was attracted to the texture and richness of the reds contrasted against the gold flowers.
