GIL'S MILL, VISIONARY ART BY SUSAN MEDYN

I was an artist in residence at the Gilbert Stuart Homestead and Museum in Saunderstown, RI the past 2 years.
This is a painting I made while enjoying the beautiful landscape. I have a linkof my husband and I painting there that was included in the Museum's newsletter that looks like we are artists from the 1900's. The link to the photo is http://www.gilbertstuartmuseum.com/ourprograms.htm

This is a 9" by 12" Ink and Watercolor Painting that is matted to 16" by 19"and is ready for framing and for sale for $200.

My paintings can be seen in galleries and museums in the New England area. I just have had a new painting accepted at the Newport Museum of Art in Newport, RI. To see more of my work please go to: www.susanmedyn.com

ROLY POLY KITTIES, Visionary Art by Susan Medyn

Here is a fun little painting of 3 cats gathering for a chat.. I could have called it Chatty Catty but the Milk Board of California notified me that a painting I posted recently called "Got Milk?" was a copyright infringement so I changed it to "Got Lawsuit?".
So fewer puns for my titles. This lovely little work is on arches watercolor. paper and measures 5" by 7". It would easily fit into a standard sized frame. This piece is for sale for $30. To see more of my work you can go to www.susanmedyn.com

"Dancing Bear" study by Kate Dardine (sold)

This 8x8 oil on canvas is a study for a larger painting. It is a commissioned birth totem painting for a client, and has the words "On the day you were born, Bear danced to the beat of your song," written along the 1-1/2" gallery-wrapped edges.

If you are interested in learning more about commissioning a birth totem animal painting, or just want to learn more about your birth totem animal, please contact me. Each commissioned piece has words written just for you incorporated into the design or along the edges. They make wonderful gifts for others or are perfect as a gift to yourself!

The paintings in my series of the twelve birth totem animals, called "The Heart of..." are available as limited edition gallery-wrapped giclées - click here for more information. They are also available on tiles, mugs, T-shirts and notecards - and as a 12-month calendar - through my Online Boutique.

"As we learn to listen to Nature, we break down our out-worn perceptions. We find that magical creation is the force of life inherent in all things. And it is this, above all else, that Nature teaches to those that will learn from her." _ Ted Andrews, Animal Speak
