Still visiting 2010 at the end of that year with this one that initially had me stuck, the horse was fine, it was the background that was bothering me. I worked with it some and ended up with the finished painting, and I liked how it turned out. This painting was something of a stepping stone for me, it's interesting how I can look back and pick out a painting that gives me a clear sense of a breakthrough, or change that I liked, or an idea for a series. "Stallion Strut" sold and went up to live in Canada with a collector that has a few of my paintings.
