"Barbie Girl" Original Abstract Collage Painting By Ohio Contemporary Artist Donna Holdsworth
I am still working on my composition studies. This one was called overlapping frames. This composition took patience. I did a simple work on paper, then painted this abstract collage painting on canvas. This is where I ended up. The colors just sort of evolved. I like the combination. Alizarin crimson, buff, gold, black and white over a warm under painting. Just a pinch of glitter paint and gold leaf flakes gave it that "Barbie Girl" look. Acrylic, painted papers and lace on canvas. 16x20. Available for purchase on my website.
