This painting is another version from a series of marsh paintings I worked on in late 2012. These are inspired by local marshes which are at the northern edge of the San Francisco Bay Area, where rivers and streams meet the bay. It's a favorite painting location of mine and reminiscent of many marshy areas that share the features of water, large horizons and beautiful shapes and colors that are so enticing for painters.
