The painting "River Kupa" was made with acrylic and enamel paint on canvas.
This is the first painting that I painted of the river Kupa, just before we visited the spring of the river Kupa, near the small village Razloge in the national park Risnjak. This beautiful mountain site, with lots of trees, mostly pines, called Gorski kotar, is somehow neglected from the main stream of tourists that float every year to the coast. I am pleased with that fact, because we found peace in the forest, even encountered a few roe deers.
We were on our hiking/photo trip through Gorski kotar, what was a bit scary was the fact that the rivers that we saw had a very low water level and creeks were completely dried out.
The painting "Spring of river Kupa" was made with acrylic paint on canvas. This spring is actually in very vivid, turquoise color.
