I
will give a one day torn paper collage workshop using torn paper
recycled magazines, maps, found paper to produce a mixed media high heel
collage on a 12" square canvas similar to the images above. There will
be lectures, handouts, demonstrations and no prior art experience will
be required. I will supply the image and design. The students supply the
canvas supports and other supplies. After signing up for the class the
supply list will be mailed. And guys, if you didn't want to collage a
high heel I will have a boot or sneaker design available. We will cover
supports, paper, supplies, choosing colors, varnish and other collage
paintings that would be suitable done with this torn paper method.
The
Dutch Art Gallery has scheduled Saturday Summer Workshops each Saturday
until September. You can bring a sack lunch or eat at nearby
restaurants in the shopping center. Classes will vary in price as some
require an extra fee for a model. My collage class is $125.00.
