Sometimes the route to a finished painting is a circuitous one - as it was in the case with this painting. It started out as a plein air landscape! As I was painting the view from my deck, which overlooks farm fields, a small brown bird came to visit me. "Which Came First" is an acrylic on canvas panel, and is part of my annual Holiday Studio Sale.
