Heaven Above, encaustic work by Diana Fritzler

This piece is one of my encaustic works that I adore named Heaven Above. I am facinated by the process and the freedom I feel while painting with hot wax. It frees me by letting me experiment with brushstrokes and heating techniques and forces me to break away from the figurative aspects of my acrylic and oil paintings. The serenity of the colors and the warmth I feel while looking at this piece makes it dear to my heart.
