I decided to try something a little different for a change. After mixing my colors on my palette, I added heavy matte gel to the paints and started painting directly on the canvas with a palette knife. The heavy impasto took longer to dry, allowing me to blend the colors on the canvas. Over all, I'm pretty pleased with this painting.
