I saw this gorgeous Double Hibiscus one day at Queen Liliuokalani Garden in my community and fell in love with the way the light gave her such a wonderful glow. I have showcased her in a close up to portray her inner beauty. I hope you enjoy this special painting as much as I enjoyed working on it. Yellows in watercolor are very challenging and I am very pleased with the result. I'll be doing a similar one in very large format for an upcoming show, hoping it turns out as well.
