"ALAMEDA SETTING SUN"8"X8"
Hello, this is my first post on the Daily Abstract Painters Gallery. The work I paint is not normally what I myself would consider abstract, but I look at this wonderful site as a place to push myself out of my comfort zone and start doing some new things. My goal for these new paintings is to paint as loosely as possible, oils, lots of texture, maybe throw in a palette knife or two, and see where it leads. I will not be posting regularly until after November, but look for me to pop up from time to time. I am also happy to be aligned here with some Texas painters, because even though I consider myself a native New Mexican, I still have a soft spot in my heart for my home state. Until we meet again....
