This is a 10x14 mixed media piece that I created for the California Thoroughbred Farm Managers annual "Dine with the Stallions" fundraiser and dinner that will be held tomorrow at Vessels Stallion Farm. I am a proud member of this group and when asked to to do a painting for the fundraiser, I said that I would do something abstract and hopefully fun! I also wanted to do something in the style that you would see on the front of a racing program. My aunt bred, raised, raced and trained Thoroughbreds and my grandfather was the banker who took the money to the track when we were kids. We got to spend time on the back side and saw a lot through the eyes of 10 year olds! I love horses. I have four horses of my own - 3 Peruvians and a 29 year old Quarter Horse.
