Blue Lagoon, large, by Carol Engles

16x22 mixed media on paper. These are really fun to do. I have done a couple of these and hope to do more. I try to give the water a lot of depth with the dark blues and then add the sea creatures and plants. If you're interested, contact me at jcengles@verizon.net or:

    Carol, this is fabulous. I love the deep blue and turqoise. Do you mat and frame these up?

    Hi Kay,
    Thanks for your comment. My works on paper are usually framed with a simple off-white or white mat (3-4 inches wide) with a very simple modern metal frame. I sell them unframed because I have found that shipping a framed piece with glass is difficult. I shipped my art back to Washington D.C. and had them framed there, so we wouldn't have to worry about that.
