Power Poppy by Carol Engles

20x24 acrylic on canvas. I was inspired to do this piece by seeing a Hans Hofmann painting at the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C. this winter in which he used red and green together.     What wonderful colors...the combination is evergetic. This painting is different from most of your abstracts, but really cool. The viewer is really pulled into the focal point of the canvas. Love it.
