Finish Line by Kay Wyne

Today's posting, Finish Line is appropriate because today is the running the Belmont Stakes in Elmont, New York. I will watch the race on t.v. this afternoon...and although I am not a horse person, I do enjoy watching the races. This abstract horse painting is one of my first horse paintings, and I wanted to capture the movement, speed and furry in the race. I put lots of different colors on the canvas to make it interesting and fun. I learned alot about the anatomy of the horse while I was working on this piece. If you would like to purchase this painting, please contact me.

  1. Hi Kay,
I am a horse person and you really have captured a great mood with this piece. I love the way you interpreted their hooves off the ground. The flicks of color are wonderful! I also like the white socks on the horses legs. Please do more equine abstracts!
