Mixed media on 11x14 heavy watercolor paper. This painting will fit any ready made 11x14 frame, or may be matted and framed to a larger size. This painting does not contain oil paint, therefore glass can be placed over the top. What a busy piece...I can certainly tell what frame of mind I was in!!! Definitely not relaxed!!!! It's hard to really capture the beauty of the metallics on camera, but they are very rich and have a shimmer. In this piece, the silver and green are the metallic colors.
Signed and dated on the back to allow collector choices in exhibiting, may be hung vertically or horizontally. May be signed on the front before shipping at buyers request.
COLORADO ABSTRACT DAILY PAINTER KIMBERLY CONRAD
"In the orient, young bulls are tested for the fight arena in a certain manner. Each is brought into the ring, and allowed to attack a picador who pricks them with a lance. The bravery of each bull is then rated with care, according to the # of times he demonstrates his willingness to charge in spite of the STING of the blade. Henceforth, will I recognize that each day I am tested by life in a like manner. If I PERSIST, if I continue to try, if I continue to charge forward, I WILL SUCCEED."
This is sooo true in every area of our lives, but today I'm thinking about this business of ART. Most of us have felt the STING of rejection, the STING of self doubt, the STING of being excluded, the STING of a show with little or no sales, the STING of spending the entire day painting something that when completed, looks like C__P!. Bravery is to get up and do it all again the next day ANYWAY!!!! This was taken form Og Mandino's book The Greatest Salesman In The World
