The scene depicts a beautiful ballerina in the foreground showing the younger dancers her graceful moves and poise. The two young dancers are hoping to one day become the lead ballerina.

Mountain Meadow Morning Original impasto oil painting by Janice Trane Jones

This is an original oil on stretched cotton canvas that measures 24 x 36 x 2. It is done in a heavy impasto/palette knife technique but I have also used glazes to add a misty effect.
