The Board of Directors by Kay Wyne

The Board of Directors
Contemporary Oil Painting
NFS
This was a fun piece to work on...It was submitted to The Catholic Foundational Plaza Art Competition in Dallas.  Every year a piece of work is chosen for public art, and is blown up and installed on the side of a building.  This piece received an honorable mention from the judging panel.  Congrats to the winner, Jim Keyes.  This is day 22 of the 30 Paintings in 30 Day Painting Challenge.  Thanks for looking at my blog...yesterday was a milestone on my blog because I hit 100,000 visitor views!  Kay

Contemporary Roosters and Chickens by Kay Wyne

Contemporary Roosters and Chickens

This painting is a fun and colorful piece that I completed last week.  I was experimenting with the background, using ink.  The expressive roosters and chickens are in oils.  This is on a 36" x 36" gallery wrap canvas, so it is ready to hang...a frame is optional.  I need to title this painting....any suggestions would be appreciated!  This painting is currently hanging in Dallas at the Dutch Art Gallery.  Thanks for viewing.  Kay@kwyne.com.

"Little Red Rooster" contemporary painting by Colorado artist Kate Dardine

Little Red Rooster, 10x8 oil on canvas, $100

Unlike the blues song by Willie Dixon, made famous by Howlin' Wolf, this little red rooster is not too lazy to crow for the day. He's up at dawn, welcoming the faint morning light and bidding the dark of night farewell. Available ready-to-frame. Available by PayPal through my website. Click here for more info.

Coop by Kay Wyne

Coop
Coop Tour: Do you know what a Coop Tour is?
(From Webster’s Dictionary)
Coop: 1 : a cage or small enclosure (as for poultry); also : a small building for housing poultry Tour: 1 a : one's turn in an orderly schedule

Several weekends ago, John Wyne and I did the Dallas Coop Tour on a Sunday afternoon….all over Dallas, Texas. We went on a Coop Tour. Basically, it was a tour around the neighborhood, viewing the chicken coops. Actually, it was very interesting…it took us four hours (with map in hand) to hit eleven coops inside the Dallas city limits. Not out in the country! I got lots of pics of roosters, chickens, and even a turkey. Lots of great painting material!

Coop is the name of this feathered friend….this painting did not have a name until yesterday, when Pam Massar at The Dutch Art Gallery named him….for the Coop Tour. This contemporary oil painting is on a 30” x 30” canvas. I used lots of oil paint on him…I hope to be posting some more paintings from our little tour. I hope that you have a great day! Thanks for viewing this blog! Feel free to contact me for more information on my art.
