"Mountain Morse Code" by Janice Wright

Acrylic on Rough Watercolour Paper

This is another painting inspired by our hike to Chasm Lake.
I felt the dots and dashes of colour were like a bit of morse code.

"On the Rocks" by Janice Wright

Acrylic on Rough Watercolour Paper
8" x 10"

If you have ever hiked to Chasm Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park (which is the same route if you hiked up to the top of Long's Peak, but not as far) you would have crossed a bridge and seen these falls. Just beyond one climbs onto the Alpine Tundra where spectacular views abound. These falls are one of the many delights on this hike.

Ships with an off white mat.
Price: $85.00 + 15.00 for shipping in the US.

"Colorado Rockies" by Janice Wright

Acrylic on rough watercolor paper
8" x 10"
If you have ever been to Maroon Bells, this is the view looking towards Cathedral Lake, about a three mile hike from "the bells". This is one of my first pieces using acrylic paint on watercolor paper. You can see that the paint is applied fairly thickly in defined shapes, no "wet in wet", which is a technique commonly used by watercolorists.

Ships with an off white colored mat. Price: 85.00 + 15.00 for shipping in the US. Contact me for shipping prices outside of the US. To purchase, or to see more of my artwork, visit my website.
