"Fancy Dance" by Karla Nolan, watercolor and ink

Okay, I'll be up front.  I do not plan to sell this painting.  It was extremely time consuming to paint, full of detail, which is not my usual modus operandus.  I went to the Northern Colorado Pow Wow a couple of weeks ago with my husband and then with my young granddaughter.  I love a pow wow.  The color, the spirit, the dancing, the drumming, nothing is quite like it.  So I attempted to capture a second of the fancy dance, I was diligent in my effort, and I am so happy with it!  Yaay!

Original Artwork by Oklahoma Equine Artist Jonelle T. McCoy

Introducing TWH Lady C, the mascot for FOSH (Friends of Sound Horses), who will be a new Breyer model revealed at Breyerfest. This portrait titled "Lady C Salutes" emphasizes her all American appeal  pride and willingness to please. She's saluting the efforts of the people who wish to stop abusive practices on horses, in her case gaited horses, to show they are able and willing to perform without fear of pain. Please join with us in the mission to stop the abuse, visit them at http://www.fosh.info/   Thank you!
