This is a large 22 x 30" original watercolor on 300 lb cold pressed paper. Once framed it will be at least 30 x 38 which is a wonderful size for a centerpiece painting in a room. The scene depicts a hummingbird trying to figure out which of the many California Poppies he will take pollen from. Too many to choose at this time.

I love painting the elusive hummingbird. They dart and move so gracefully through the air as they make their way to the next pollen feast. These three are buddies right at the moment but very shortly they will take on the ever present territorial fight.
