"Woodlands, version one", 12" x 12", acrylic on panel

Recently I've been trying out techniques in acrylic, around the idea of woodlands paintings that are evocative of a forest vignette. Some of the tangle of a woodland or forest setting is left to the imagination, and by using some muted colors in the palette / some saturated warm colors, a focus for the painting is created. I posted the two more simple paintings, at the bottom, last week and here is "Gold Lakes Summer" which completes the series. From edited and simplistic, to a more detailed painting of some woodland scenes.
I've used a technique in all that blurs the background portion of the painting, and then with scratching and harder edges I paint to create sharpness and focus, as the eye moves towards the foreground. In all three of these paintings, I'm going for an evocative forest feeling! All three of these paintings are available; please
