I haven't posted much in the last few weeks due to being busy with a couple of other art-related projects going on behind the scenes; I'll have more news about one of the very exciting projects later! When I have some images and details I'll be posting those - but for right now all I want to say is the project focuses on the topic of abstract painting.
Here's a work-in-progress photo below, that I took when "Mood at Sunset" was in the first stage, working with acrylic applied with a palette knife and just playing with shapes and the color palette. It seemed that continuing in acrylic wasn't the way to complete the painting so I played around some more with this in oil paints, palette knife and in a very close color palette in oils adding scratching, texture and impasto paint. I'm much happier at the completion of this - - much can go on in the start of a painting, in the underpainting stage.
