Tree of Life

This painting is another in my tree series.  As you can see, it is highly textured  with collage elements.

Trees play such an important part in the ecology of our planet.  It is impossible to even imagine life without the many varieties of this plant form.

One could even believe trees to be a metaphor the human struggle. In my painting, I feel the red leaves represent the joyous times in  one's life; the blue leaves, the unavoidable sorrows that can cloud our horizon. Hopefully, your red leaves far outnumber your blue  leaves.
