Golden Haze was done in acrylic on raw, unprimed canvas using a staining technique. It was greatly influenced by Helen Frankenthaler, who used oil on raw canvas. Whereas oil will ultimately destroy the unprimed canvas, acrylic paint will not. This painting will be on display at the Harrisburg Capitol in the East Wing Rotunda during the month of June. It will then be transferred to Gallerie 13 in Mechanicsburg, PA during the month of July. If in the area, stop by to see it.
